Knife Sharpening

Knife sharpening can be as simple as using a drag-through sharpener, to using a belt sharpener, to using several different sharpening stones of different grit. The profile and shape of the blade can also have a big effect on how you go about sharpening.

OutdoorLife.com gives a good idea on how to get started.

I personally use the Worksharp Knife & Tool Sharpener Mk.2, and the Worksharp Precision Adjust Knife Sharpener. They provide a good way to sharpen your knife with a consistent edge. They include many different levels of grit to get a very fine edge. The Knife & Tool sharpener creates a convex edge, which is stronger and good for pocket knives or anything that is for hard use. The Precision adjust gives a flat bevel which isn't as strong, but allows for finer slicing. They both allow you to adjust the angle of your blade edge bevel.
